Course Overview
Arc flash incidents cause severe burns, equipment damage and fatalities, often faster than you can react. This practical online course teaches you to recognise arc flash hazards, understand safe working distances, and apply the right PPE and procedures around energised equipment.
Entry Requirements
- No formal prerequisites
- Best suited to electricians, electrical supervisors, maintenance personnel, operators working near electrical equipment, safety and HSE personnel, contractors and site personnel
Learning Outcomes
- Identify arc flash hazards and common ignition causes.
- Apply arc flash boundaries and restricted access zones correctly.
- Select and use arc-rated PPE for the task.
- Apply isolation and Lockout/Tagout awareness around energised equipment.
