Built for qualified electrical professionals who test and maintain electrical systems. Covers safe testing procedures, correct use of test equipment, isolation verification and incident response, the practical knowledge that keeps testing work safe and compliant.
Entry Requirements
- Current unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence, or
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology
Learning Outcomes
- Identify electrical testing hazards, including arc flash and shock risk.
- Correctly use and maintain multimeters, insulation and earth continuity testers.
- Verify isolation and apply safe testing procedures step by step.
- Respond to and report electrical incidents and near-misses.

This is a non-accredited short course. Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance, not a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

- Standards and regulations, AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and AS/NZS 4836 Safe Working on LV Installations
