Course Overview
From cuts and burns to breaks, shock and anaphylaxis, this is the core first aid course every workplace, school and community group relies on. One full day, face-to-face, hands-on. No experience needed, and it is suitable for workplace compliance or personal knowledge.
Entry Requirements
- No prerequisites, open to anyone regardless of prior first aid experience
- Physical capacity to perform CPR and simulated rescue tasks (kneeling, bending, chest compressions on a manikin)

Learning Outcomes
- Recognise and respond to a wide range of medical emergencies.
- Manage bleeding, burns, fractures and shock until help arrives.
- Apply first aid principles confidently for adults, children and infants.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality, and know when to escalate.

What you need to know before you enrol.
Assessment Methods
Scenario-based practical demonstrations, CPR demonstration on manikins (adult, child, infant), and knowledge checks, all face-to-face.
RPL & Credit Transfer
Hold a current equivalent from another RTO? Recognition may apply for the CPR component only. HLTAID011 first aid skills are generally assessed fresh given how frequently guidelines update.

USI Requirement
You will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to receive your Statement of Attainment. Free at usi.gov.au.
Language, Literacy & Numeracy
No specific LLN barrier expected for this practical, scenario-based course. Contact us with any concerns about the online theory component.
Access, Equity & Support
Physical tasks are involved (kneeling, bending, manikin CPR). Tell us about any limitations before booking so we can plan around them. Our Student Handbook sets out our access, equity, complaints and appeals policies in full.
Certification & Issuance
Participants who complete this course will receive nationally recognised Statements of Attainment for:

Prerequisites
Complete the 2 to 3 hour online theory modules before your face-to-face session. Allow up to 24 to 48 hours for platform activation after enrolling.
